Business Licenses
Important: If your business is located within Moab City Limits, you will need to apply for a license through the City of Moab.
Obtaining a new business license is a simple, 3-step process. If you have any questions about the information below, please call us at (435) 259-1321, and one of our friendly staff members will be happy to help.
1. Application
Obtain a business license application in person at the Grand County Clerk's Office, or download the application here:
NOTE: This application requires a Utah State Tax ID Number. You can obtain this number online at http://www.business.utah.gov/registration.
2. Signatures
After completing the form, you must obtain the four following signatures on the application. You may visit their respective offices in person, or email them a scan of your completed application. Once you have obtained all four signatures, you must submit the application with the signatures to the Grand County Clerk's Office. You can bring it in person, send it by mail, or scan and email to Deputy Clerk Janna Kyle at [email protected].
NOTE: We understand that not all businesses operate out of a brick-and-mortar facility. Many businesses are run from a home, or are mobile and service clients on location. However, in order to obtain a business license in Grand County, you must obtain all four signatures on your application, regardless of whether the nature of your business requires a physical building or not.
