The Runway at CNY is currently closed (through April 30, 2018).
Runway Closure

Runway 03/21 and Taxiway A are now closed for construction; expected completion date is 4/30/18. Helicopters may still land on the ramp at CNY, and self-serve fuel is still available. Thank you for bearing with us during this time of construction so that we may provide a better airport for our community.

4/10/18 Update:

Terminal is still on schedule for major completion (airline mission critical items) for starting scheduled air service on 5/1.

Airport is still closed (per NOTAM !CNY 12/012), except to helicopter traffic.

Runway is on schedule for major completion by 5/1. There will be nighttime closures for 5-15 days in may (estimated 7PM to 7AM).


Terminal Construction

The terminal will be under construction (remodel and expansion) from October 2017 through April 2018. Any disturbance within the existing building will occur during the period when the runway is closed.

Commercial Air Service  

  • SkyWest Airlines (d.b.a. United Airlines) will begin service with CRJ-200 commuter jets flying two flights a day between CNY and Denver, CO starting May 2018.

Parking And Ground Transportation
  • Parking at Canyonlands Field Airport is $3/day. Please contact Airport Management for any overnight parking prior to April 30, 2018.
  • Please fill out a vehicle registration card inside of the terminal building (vehicle make/model/license plate/emergency contact).
  • Multiple Taxi and Shuttle Services will provide shuttles to/from Moab and the Airport (for hire). Please use this link for Discover Moab transportation.

EFFECTIVE 20-Aug-2015, RWY 21 now has a right-hand traffic pattern. This traffic pattern is to minimize proximity to Arches National Park and to avoid parachute DZ located SE of hangars.

Good Neighbor Policy
Canyonlands Field is sponsored and operated by Grand County, Utah. Millions visit the parks and recreation areas around Canyonlands Field each year. We request that all aircraft on scenic flights over these areas maintain at least 2,000 feet above ground level (AGL) so that we all have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery whether from the ground or from the air.
